Stainless Steel 309 is a highly alloyed austenitic steel used for its outstanding oxidation resistance, high-temperature strength and creep resistance. The lower nickel content of SS 309 Plates improves resistance to sulfur attack at high temperatures. SS 309 Sheets are tough and ductile and can be readily fabricated and machined. SS 309 Sheets and Plates has high corrosion resistance and strength compared to 304 stainless steel. Stainless Steel UNS S30900 Plates is hot worked at 1177 degrees C (2150 degrees F) followed by reheating at 982 degrees C (1800 degrees F). It can be then quenched rapidly. Post-work annealing can be done to restore its corrosion resistance property.
Stainless Steel 309S Sheets and Plate is the lower carbon version of grade 309 provides high forming and welding characteristics. These SS 309S Plates can easily bewelded using any resistance and fusion methods. SS UNS S30900 Sheets are recommended for applications where sensitization and subsequent corrosion by high-temperature gases or condensates during shutdown may pose a problem. These SS 309 Sheets and Plates can be used for various applications like Boiler baffles,Furnace components,Oven linings,Fire box sheets,other high temperature containers, etc. Some of the properties which are there in the sheets and plates are great tensile strength, high toughness, ductility, durability, and stability in the elevated temperatures.We provide various test certificates along with our products in accordance with EN 10204/3.1B, 100% radiography test report, third-party test report, raw material certificate, etc. to ensure damage free products are being delivered to our clients.
