Hastelloy B2 material is the solid solution strengthened alloy, consisting molybdenum and nickel in it. This material is having resistance ability to the reducing atmosphere such as phosphoric acid, sulfuric acid, acetic acid, and hydrogen chloride gas. Here molybdenum is the major alloyants that is providing very good resistance to general corrosion at the reducing atmosphere. This nickel steel alloy can be easily made in used into the as-welded conditions. This is because it is resisting grain boundary carbide precipitates formation into the weld heat-affected area.
